If we walk in fear we see danger all around us, so we develop a method of protecting ourselves against these perceived threats . We create a persona of protection, our Ego , to armor ourselves so that the impact of possible attacks are not felt.
However this armor that is supposed to serve us ends up hindering us . Over time it becomes a castle of imprisonment where our inner child is safely locked away from harms way .
Yet this restriction that stops people getting to us also stops us from connecting with others .
If we feel stuck unable to truly connect because we are afraid of revealing ourselves, maybe its time to leave this fortress of separation and take your first courageous step on the path of vulnerability. This courage will be recognized , and it will create compassion and the authentic connections you've been hiding from inside yourself .
