OWNERSHIP IS THE PATH TO HEALING AND GRATITUDE IS THE DESTINATION
All of us have had situations in our that have left us with a sense of being wounded, and we carry these wounds forward every day, without realizing how they impact us. Anything that we perceive as negative we seek to avoid and create various protection mechanisms and attempt to keep us safe .
However, this method of avoidance actually creates a subconscious dynamic, where we attract negative experiences that repeat this cycle, and the reason we do this, is to remind ourselves to keep up our defenses because erroneously we believe that when things are too good, something bad could happen, and this cycle repeats itself.
The first step to break out of this cycle is to reveal what has happened honestly and vulnerable and to allow yourself to grieve without judgment. The second step is to investigate through meditation, therapy, workshops, so that we can understand why something happened which will help us lead to forgiveness of the other and of ourselves.
The last step is ownership . When we are ready and see how this wound is limiting us, we can investigate the challenging proposition that somehow every seemingly negative experience has served us on a path to our evolution. With patience and tenacity, we can find a deeper understanding of how this could be so, this resolution leads us to the final destination, Gratitude, which is when we are truly healed .
