STOP LOOKING FOR PEACE IN THEÂ FUTURE ANDÂ DISCOVER IT IN THE PRESENT
Peace , is the ultimate prize we are all bestowed with as our birth right . Yet through our false conclusions and adopted mental programming we create disruption in our lives and thus are always seeking to find it .
Many of us strive to achieve things in our lives so that we can eventually attain some level of security that allows us to believe we are finally safe enough to drop our defensive attitude and relax into a feeling of peace. Yet this peace is simply the absence of disruption, which is dependent on external circumstances.
This is the wrong way round for peace is not found in the future it is an experience in the present, that is a result of developing equanimity to all the situations that arise .
Our natural state is to be at peace with all through the understanding that it is all serving our highest evolution. Each loss is an act of purification that is liberating us from a limited attachment and when we understand this we recognize that peace is not the absence of the storm but the presence of calm & trust throughout , that we experience within it .
